Dutiful and straightforward, Captain Marius carries the weight of his responsibilities visibly. He mutters about the Sluiceweave “not working right for at least ten years,” suggesting a long-standing frustration with problems above his ability to solve. After the tsunami, he was confused but relieved that the city survived, and pragmatic enough to seek outside help when his own men were too stretched to investigate.
