Session 7: Fire and Air
The carnival burned. The city prayed to an empty sky. And deep beneath the streets, a lantern answered with fire.

In the aftermath of the Kuo-Toa fight, the party found treasure, met a creature too pitiful to fear, and struck a deal with a stranger whose smile held too many secrets.
Deeper into the Sluiceweave, the party found themselves navigating ancient machinery they barely understood -- and then stumbled into something far worse than rusted gears.
Nicodranas survived the tsunami, but the city that woke the next morning was not the same one that had gone to sleep. Refugees poured in from the countryside, angry and grieving, and a single question hung over everything: why was the city spared when they were not?
A wall of water taller than any building in Nicodranas was bearing down on the city, and the party had minutes to run. What followed was a desperate flight, a divine visitation, and a miracle no one could explain.
The party woke to wrong silence. The tide had pulled impossibly far from shore, boats sat beached on bare sand, and somewhere deep beneath the city, something was booming.
Five strangers wandered into a carnival at the edge of the sea, drawn by lanterns of bioluminescent jellyfish and the promise of wonders from beyond the waves. None of them expected to leave with a quest from a creature older than the gods.
On Sunday, April 13, 2025 we had our Session 0 and it was pretty great.
